We really enjoyed our 2 night stay in this relatively secluded but beautiful location. The room was spacious with wardrobe and drawer set. The double bed was fine but had what felt like a coil sprung mattress which was not the most comfortable but ok. We had a kettle with plenty of tea bags, coffee and biscuits. Bathroom was nice with a good shower. Bit if a damp musty smell in the hall and bedroom but again not too much of an issue. The highlight of the stay was the breakfast expertly prepared by the head chef Brandon who's hospitality was second to none. The bar was fine, very much a local pub with mainly local patrons. The one bit of constructive criticism I would give is to clean the internal doors, simple. For the price I would recommend this hotel as a good base to explore the area.

Was there with work The rooms were big, limited menu but good. Beer always a winner. Church bells might disturb never bothered me though. Cheers.

We had a lovely stay, but the room needed attention. There were watermarks on the walls and ceiling. The shower tray had a very high step up. The furniture needs tidying. The food that we had (fish and chips) was excellent and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was OK but not overly friendly. We slept well, and the place was quiet. Breakfast was good, but I think some of the cereal was past its sell by date. The village was lovely and very quiet. Close to the coast and North Walsham.

Stayed here in the last week and couldn’t fault the place at all. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and the chef couldn’t do enough for us, and the food was amazing! Especially the steak stopped fries! The bedrooms were super clean, only slight let down is the location. Would 100% return but chef needs special mention

Food was amazing and huge portions - lovely staff and chef who checked spice levels for the salmon tacos. Struggled to decide what to eat as everything looked amazing!

Lovely meal with the family (2 adults, 2 children). Lovely restaurant area and A really good menu; the dishes we chose (beef stew and fisherman’s burger) were delicious. Very generous portions and reasonably priced. A hidden gem, we didn’t know this pub existed, but will be returning.

We visited for Sunday lunch as we were walking in the area and it was near a station on the Bittern Line. The landlord was very accommodating, responding quickly to a reservation made just on the same morning. When we arrived we were made to feel very welcome and ate in the dining room overlooking the garden and wonderful church next door. The food was all tremendous, and very reasonably priced given how good it was. The ale on tap was excellently kept. Great and attentive service by the waiter looking after us. We reluctantly lumbered back to the station but we would liked to have stayed longer and thrown a few darts in the bar. HIghly recommend dropping by if you are in the area.

We held my father’s wake at the White Lady.yesterday. The food and service was excellent. My father frequented the pub for nearly 40 years and it was a perfect location to celebrate his life.
